Top 10 April Fool’s Day Jokes of 2013

Did you get spoofed by an April Fool’s joke yesterday? If you need some ideas for revenge for next year, we’ve compiled the top 10 pranks from companies and websites of April Fool’s Day, 2013:

1) Google
Google played a few different jokes on its users, between announcing YouTube would shut down, to turning Gmail blue to adding a treasure map feature. But perhaps the best spoof was Google Nose, with the one-liner, “Smelling is Believing”:

2) Bonobos
Bonobos announced its revolutionary new product, the Girlfriend Jean, which they released “because sometimes a guy’s favorite pair of jeans aren’t guy jeans at all.”

3) Seamless
Seamless unveiled a new “Deluxe Delivery” service, where you can upgrade your delivery person to a hot guy or gal.

4) Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic showed off the world’s first glass-bottomed airplane. The company created it “to ensure passengers can enjoy both an unparalleled flying experience, as well as a selection of stunning landscapes from the comfort of their seats.”

5) Skype
Want to call someone in space? Skype announced Skype Into Space, which the company calls “one video call for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

6) Boden
Boden gave its man-skirt a twirl for the first time, with the company saying, “The time has finally come for the man-skirt to take its rightful place in the wardrobe of the modern man.” However, when you try to buy the product, the company reveals it is, indeed, a prank — although it wouldn’t rule out producing one if demand called for it!

7) Twitter
Twitter announced it’s moving to a two-tiered service, where users can use its service for free, but only using consonants — and if they want to use vowels, it would cost $5. The company said they’re doing it to “encourage a more efficient and ‘dense’ form of communication.”

8) Whole Foods
Whole Foods tricked its customers by adding a Cattle Cam, so you can “see what your meat eats.”

9) White House
The official White House YouTube channel released a video titled, “A Special Message from the President,” but instead of President Obama, Kid President appeared.

10) STUDIO BANANA THINGS
The Ostrich Pillow wants to revolutionize the way you nap. Whether in an airport, at work, or on the road, STUDIO BANANA THINGS, says the Ostrich Pillow is the perfect gift for someone who has everything.

Oops! Just kidding. This isn’t an April Fool’s joke… but an actual product (seriously). You can buy it here.
